Vehicle Access Permits (4WD Permits) - BOOK NOW or CHECK AVAILABILITY
Four wheel driving is allowed on Flinders Beach and Main Beach and designated access points are outlined in our 4WDriving Brochure and requires a valid Vehicle Access Permit. The annual Vehicle Access Permit is $38.25, and revenue raised is put towards maintaining, improving and supporting the island's natural areas. Your permit sticker must be displayed in the lower left side of your windscreen at all times. Please note that your permit can be cancelled or suspended by Authorised Officers should you not comply with the Conditions of Issue.
Adder Rock Camping Ground - BOOK NOW or CHECK AVAILABILITY
Situated on one of the Islands northern beaches in the local community of Point Lookout, the camping ground is in a shady location, sheltered behind native tea tree and pandanus forests. Adder Rock beach lies directly in front of the park, and is patrolled during holiday periods. Campers also have direct access to Home Beach and Adder Rock surf beaches.

Amity Point Camping Ground - BOOK NOW or CHECK AVAILABILITY
With magnificent views over Moreton Bay to Moreton Island and the Glass House Mountains, the northern end of the camping ground is a popular fishing spot. Sites in sunny open areas and shady glades under native cotton trees. A tranquil family setting, ideal for fishing & boating, and a short drive to surf beaches. The beachfront offers spectacular sunset views over Moreton bay.

Cylinder Beach Camping Ground - BOOK NOW or CHECK AVAILABILITY
A shady campground facing Cylinder Beach, one of Straddie’s most iconic surf beaches. With a direct north orientation, and a sunny outlook, the site enjoys protection from the prevailing winds. The camping ground is close to the cafes, boutiques, and restaurants of Point Lookout, and the renowned Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel. Its position makes the camping ground extremely popular during peak holiday periods, so early bookings are essential.

Home Beach Camping Ground - BOOK NOW or CHECK AVAILABILITY
This small camping ground faces north onto Home Beach and enjoys a sunny position, and protection from the prevailing south-easterly winds. The camping ground is situated along the broad expanse of Home Beach and is ideal for those looking for a lazy beach break and easy access to Point Lookout, or to Flinders Beach.
12 unpowered tent/campervan/trailer/caravan sites, 10 powered sites. No cabins.
Flinders Beach Camping Ground - Beach Camping - BOOK NOW or CHECK AVAILABILITY
Twelve beachfront camping areas nestled in the islands dunes. The camp sites are in natural areas and are only accessible from the beach outside of high tide times, or by bush tracks. A 4WDrive vehicle is a necessity for access to these sites. The only facilities provided on Flinders Beach are toilets at a number of key access points. Dogs are allowed when camping at Flinders Beach, however they must be on a lead at all times.

Main Beach Camping Ground - Beach Camping - BOOK NOW or CHECK AVAILABILITY
Main Beach stretches for 32kms from Jumpinpin at the southern end of the island, to Point Lookout on the northern tip. Fifteen designated camping areas at the southern end of Main Beach approximately 17km south of Point Lookout. Great surfing beaches and excellent beach fishing, this is a prime location for more experienced campers and 4WDrivers. There are no facilities, access is by 4WD vehicle only along the beach, or bush tracks. Dogs allowed - must be on a lead at all times.

Adams Beach Camping Ground -BOOK NOW or CHECK AVAILABILITY
Walking distance of the ferry terminal and the main streets of Dunwich, the camping ground is perfect for boating enthusiasts and fishermen. Facing west and located directly on the bay, teh campground enjoys magnificent sunsets. Visitors can enjoy the unique attractions such as the Historical Dunwich Cemetery, North Stradbroke Island Museum and local Indigenous Art Galleries. The township has a supermarket, a chemist, a butcher, various cafes and a petrol station.

21 Feb 2013: Adams Beach Camping Ground has been closed to all camping. Conditions are currently dangerous and severe weather forecast requires that the campground remain closed until further notice.
Bradburys Beach Camping Ground - BOOK NOW or CHECK AVAILABILITY
Popular with boaties and fishing enthusiasts, this small camp ground is a short walk from the One Mile jetty and 1 km from the barge/ferry terminal at Dunwich. Facing west, the camp ground is located directly on the bay, enjoying magnificent sunsets. Located within the historic town of Dunwich, the historic Dunwich Cemetery, Little Ship Club, North Stradbroke Island Museum and Indigenous Art Galleries are all within walking distance.
